Hand Towels

December 6, 2009

I made these for a dear friend who appreciates wit. They hang in her bathroom and were a wedding shower gift the year Anton was born. It was a fall wedding and I was on bedrest during the shower. With nothing to do but sit and wait, I did a LOT of needlework. Really want to make a set for myself. Bathroom humor never goes out of style. :)

Needle Books!

November 23, 2009

Hot off the presses, these needle books were SO much fun to make. Every worked with real felted wool? It will change your understanding of reality if you’re used to the plastic stuff you get at WalMart. God bless all those sheep and Mary Flanagan.

I’ll be selling these books and some project boxes during the holiday season at Dunwoody Needle Works. I think they’ll be a big hit!

Irish Linen Waxed Thread

Hello bookmakers,

I think I’ve found a good source for bookbinding thread here. It comes in a variety of colors and weights. Yummy looking colors. Check out the RoyalWood site here.

Cats in Stitches

March 23, 2009

Here’s a needlepoint canvas I’ve been meaning to finish for about 10 years now. Gunther and Olaf (when he was just a wee kitten) and my favorite flower tulips. Happy Spring! And thank you to those who came out to the show. Had a really fun day and even made some foldin’ money. I am smiling.

Pretty FART

March 14, 2009

I refuse to grow up. This needlepoint canvas got put on hold years ago and is just begging me to make a pillow out of it. It’s a spring fart. A pretty fart. An optimistic fart. One that has no shame.
